Supported games

When you start a game, Backseat checks it for anti-cheat before it does anything else.

If it finds anti-cheat, Backseat won’t run in that game. Anti-cheat systems treat anything running inside a game as a cheat, and the result is a ban on your account. We’d rather Backseat stays out than put that at risk — here’s the longer version.

If it finds none, you’ll be asked once whether you want to use Backseat in that game. That’s because we haven’t verified the game ourselves yet. Once we have, the question goes away and Backseat just runs.

Please don’t force it

If a game has anti-cheat, don’t try to get Backseat running in it anyway. The two don’t get along, and it’s your account on the line, not ours.

Multiplayer is out for the same reason, even without anti-cheat.

The fine print

Backseat needs a 64-bit game running on DirectX 11 or 12. Most modern games are. Very old titles and anything on Vulkan or OpenGL won’t work — see What doesn’t work yet.
